This blend contains senna leaf, a stimulant laxative, and green tea, which contains caffeine. It is not a general-purpose daily herbal tea, and it should not be treated as one.

Senna is not suitable for continuous use. Herbal laxatives of this kind should not be taken for more than about a week without medical advice, and prolonged use can disturb fluid and electrolyte balance and reduce normal bowel function.

• Cassia seed
• Lotus leaf
• Jiaogulan (Gynostemma pentaphyllum)
• Honeysuckle flower
• Hawthorn fruit
• Honey (flavouring)

Contains caffeine, from the green tea.

Format

• 28 individually wrapped bags
• Brew with freshly boiled water and steep for three to five minutes

Safety

Not suitable for children, or for anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use if you have a bowel condition, abdominal pain of unknown cause, or are dehydrated. Senna can interact with a number of prescription medicines, including diuretics and heart medication — speak to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking anything. Stop use and seek advice if you experience cramping or persistent diarrhoea.
